This is Ngunnawal Country.  I would like to acknowledge the Ngunnawal people as the  traditional owners of the land which I live, Murrumbateman and Canberra. I pay my deep respects to elders past and present and extend that respect to any Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.  I acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and connections to land, water and community. I pay respect to the Elders of the Ngunnawal Nation past, present and emerging.

I’m very honoured to live, work, play and volunteer on these lands and I commit to working towards reconciliation at all times.  Sovereignty was never ceded.  It always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.

Meet the Artist

Blending textiles, sculpture, and painting, Nicolette creates evocative works from what others leave behind. Her practice invites us to look closer—at the materials, the process, and the deeper narratives they carry.
